The Executive Vice-President of IMG Arena, Freddie Long, publicly spoke to reporters regarding this announcement. Freddie mentioned that this marks a significant development in their strategy, with the United States betting landscape requiring this enhancement. Representatives through the National Hockey League expressed their excitement towards expanding the IMG Arena international relationship.

Continued remarks from these representatives noted that this approach is progressive for the NHL and those live-game streaming opportunities are an innovative service for US bettors. IMG Arena confirmed their expansion contract with the NHL two-months after partnering with the Scottish Professional Football League. Both arrangements are sustainable until 2025 and available on the international scale.

Confirmation was provided today that Betfred will sponsor their first professional boxing fight, which will pertain to the heavyweight bout against Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder. This sportsbook is becoming their official sponsor, with Betfred Logos listed throughout the venue and promotional videos. The Fury vs Wilder fight is considered 2020s biggest boxing fight of the year. It’ll take place in Nevada at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder have fought each other previously, with their last bout taking place in December 2018.
